Principles

Six promises we keep.

TinyBeacon is built for families who want safety and growing independence together. These principles keep the product candid, child-visible, and calm.

  1. 01We do not sell family data.

We use chosen family data to provide the selected safeguards, not to build a data business.

  2. 02Your child sees what is shared.

The family’s chosen scope should be understandable to the child it concerns.

  3. 03Every data scope starts off.

Emergency help is the safety floor; other scopes begin only when a parent or legal guardian chooses them.

  4. 04A parent or legal guardian controls consent.

A child can see what is shared and raise a concern; the parent or legal guardian can change a safeguard, including location-sharing pauses. Retention and deletion follow the exact scope selected.

  5. 05We give a useful signal, not a data wall.

A heads-up should help a parent decide whether to check in, talk, adjust a safeguard, or respond to an SOS.

  6. 06We protect what is collected.

Screenshot evidence kept for a parent is end-to-end encrypted — only your family's devices hold the key. Each frame is checked by our safety service first, and frames that are not a concern are never stored. Location and other safety data are encrypted in transit and at rest. Security language stays within the protection we can prove.
